The Lodge of St Peter in Exeter (5806) |

Who are we? As with most Freemasons' Lodges in England and Wales, our members are engaged in a diverse range of trades and professions. More importantly, we believe in the three main principles of Freemasonry: Brotherly Love, Relief and Truth. |
Where and when do we meet? Our meetings are held at Freemasons' Hall in Exeter, on the evening of the third Monday of the month, from September to June. |

What do we do? Freemasonry teaches moral lessons and self-knowledge through participation in a progression of allegorical two-part plays. It offers its members an approach to life which seeks to reinforce thoughtfulness for others, kindness in the community, honesty in business, courtesy in society and fairness in all things. Members are urged to regard the interests of the family as paramount but importantly Freemasonry also teaches and practices concern for people, care for the less fortunate and help for those in need. The structure and working of the lodge and the sequence of ceremonial events, which are usually followed by dinner, offer members a framework for companionship, teamwork, character development and enjoyment of shared experiences. The Universities Scheme In 2006 we were proud to become part of the Assistant Grand Master's Universities Scheme, which provides an opportunity for undergraduate and postgraduate students to become Freemasons. Our Lodge already has several members who are either current students or who have recently completed their studies at the University of Exeter. We welcome enquiries regarding membership from all men of good repute with a belief in a Supreme Being, and would be particularly pleased to hear from any man having a connection with the University of Exeter - student or staff, present or past. |
